      • Well said.  I feel strongly that Ning's silence speaks volumes as to their commitment to their clients.  I only have 10000 members but I can assure you I would at least reply to my members during an epic fail.

While we all fall no and again, it is how we rise that defines us.

        • Thank you Chad. Too many networks are falling off of the Ning map due to the whole thing. Especially over the increase being double what it was. I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way.

    • Right, we dont know what the new company will actually do yet. But i think we will know a LOT from whether they comunicate in a way that keeps us customers informed every week. Communication is soooo important!  :)

        • They may not even know the rates are going up. But I think it would make sense them to hold off rate increases for at least a few months while they get a handle on things and show us the kind of service we can look forward to.

Why don't members who want to send them an to support suggesting that? If they can save some accounts from cancelling that will more than make up for the difference in revenue for a few months.

  • Wow this forum discussion went South.  I don't think anyone really knows what the h*ll to do so we are all grasping at straws and I didn't see anything arrogant at all.  Just desperation.

    • No desperation on  my part. Ning will either fail or succeed from here. I'm mentally prepared for either eventuality.

As a Ning Creator I'm hoping that Ning will not only survive but go on to thrive.

Anyone trying to distract the Ning team with any kind of campaign is just creating a counter productive atmosphere.

If anyone has  a Ning site then get behind...if you've cashed in and moved on to another platform then please move on yourself.

  • I think that good will only result when we all come together and threaten mass migration. Power in numbers.  I vote for making Dec. 01 the day.  Everyone sign up to pledge to leave unless Ning does X, Y and Z (just normal things every social networking company should do).

Critical to this is having a nice page outlining the simplest and most economical process to migrate to another platform/architecture/service with the exported JSON.  Anyone want to work on this? I'll create the manifesto for sign up.

    • Ignore him (The guy calling it a stupid idea) I think it is actually a very good idea.

    • Well you won't get my vote. Ridiculous idea.

Looking forward to a rejuvenated Ning.

      • Phillip,

You can keep hoping ... but that won't make things happen of itself. Change will only occur when  those who manage the company know that people have a viable, clear alternative and voice.

I'm all for a rejuvenated Ning!!!!  But that won't happen unless there is some kind of pressure applied. Organized or not.
