    • I canceled my Ning 2 almost 4 months ago, after 13 days of access/500 error problems.

I migrated to an OpenSource CMS, which for my extremely simple configuration
can do less than Ning, but for my use case it's ok). If you invest enough,
you can do more than Ning with Drupal (but you have to invest).

I will never more place any digital data/content in the hand of a company,
unless it's a readily replaceable commodity (hosting Drupal 8).

I published my never used -->starter kit for a migration to Drupal 7
and will do so for Drupal 8 too (during the next 2-3 months, currently working on it:
it's all small amount of spare time, so it takes some time).

Wish all remaining Ningers the best with the new owner.

      • Best luck to you Jonas!

    • I couldn't have said it better myself. Ditto.
  • I hope they didn't pay too much. <br />

    • Lol Eric this reminds me of UCLA hospital where the students practicing with sick people and some die like ning  glam/media and many more ning and his partners represent the students and they are tracticing new ways with us represent our networks our business.

    • Cyndx seems like they raise funds for tech companies. I do not think that they run social media sites, other than their data mining site that they use to raise funds.

    • NC for Hire

Agree on lifeline, and good riddance MODE, what a nightmare - - from beginning to end.

Nice to see you Eric. I'm already fantasizing that Cyndx will get super smart, and wrangle up some of the brilliant ex-Ning employees. Course, that would take some serious wrangling. Oh, I'll stop there. lol

    • So good to see ya! Good news! Thanks

    • Eriiiiicccc!!!!  How awesome to see you again!  Thank God - now can you slap 'em silly and get them to fix the vpn issue so my members overseas aren't blocked?  *lol*  Seriously though, great to see you.
