This script eats up a lot of RAM due to it scans for smiley code in chat every 10 seconds , I have found a way to remove the RAM usage totally , I will work on it as soon as I have time. Stay tuned , follow me on Twitter @elsodev for more updates.

Inspired by Custom smileys for new ning chat

I decided to mod Ning chat's smileys and bring it to a new level!

Introducing eChatSmileys!

As you can see custom smileys are loaded in the chat (works with page/ home page / bar chat)

Comes with 60 smileys for you to play with!

 

Works well with bar chat too!

 

Works well with Private Chat(bar & home page) (v1.0.2)

 

And it's FREE !

 

Just copy and paste this script into your network's "Custom Code" , make sure it is above everything else in the custom code box:

P/S This mod does not work in "My Network" section's bar chat and pop up window of chat due to Ning disallows Custom Code injection in those area.

 I added this code for my Ning site but the chat is very slow and delay time in appear text (3,10 secs. and more). the system is very slow and occasionally crash    :'(
