Ning Mini: For Small Groups
Ning Plus: Advanced Features
Ning Pro: Built for Scale
Ning VIP: Do you want more?
These plans are geared toward a target market of individuals who wish to build small groups or communities with lots of social engagement. What about individuals who just want to use Ning to build a simple website without all the horns and whistles? How about a plan that caters to that target market? A Ning Build plan. A plan that takes out the horns and whistles of the social features and lets someone just build a standard website. Just some food for thought :) What do you think?

Permalink Reply by Michael Goebel on May 9, 2012 at 12:07pm Well, you can use any of the available plans for this by just removing the features you don't want. I have done this for many websites...
Permalink Reply by Jordon McGee (Jords) on May 9, 2012 at 12:11pm Yes, I've done it for a few clients. However, Ning still charges a premium rate for the social features regardless if you use them or not. A seperate plan would have a different price range because the social features would be stripped from usage on the site.

I want my members to be able to use their page for professional presentations. Giving members the ability to organize and design multiple linked pages would be extremely beneficial.
Not sure how the above referenced example of $4.95/month applies. Would this be an option, Jord, for each member to pay for themselves? Would we as site owners process this amount internally, or would NING be charging our members directly?

Permalink Reply by Patrick Chappelle on May 10, 2012 at 8:26am Hello Mrs. Hysen.
What Jords is proposing is a charge for a static website, independent of Ning networks. Let's take your PR site, for instance. Rather than host your site at Go Daddy, you could host it at Ning for $4.95 per month. For the fee you would have use of the items on Jord's list.
Of course, it could be done with Ning networks as Michael points out. The problem with that is it would be far too expensive to pay for the whole package, only to use some of the features.
