gframe v11.5

Update May 5, 2016,
virtually every video on your network will now be fluent. Even Clicking through your comment and activity feed buttons your videos will remain perfectly fluent. I also removed the small gap between the video and the comments in the activity feed..

This js code targets all YouTube, Slideshare & Vimeo videos on your network and resizes them according to the columns/DIV width and the videos aspect ratio.

Click here to see the Activity feed more button and more comments buttons inaction. :-)

Main code

<!-- START GEOCOMs gframe v11.5, for YouTube, Slideshare & Vimeo Videos -->
    <!-- Custom Code - End of Page Code box -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="null//storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/935873?profile=original" id="gframe"></script>

Optional

 If you would like to set a new max width just change the 100% in this line of code to whatever width you prefer. This code goes in your design studio CSS section

/*! GEOCOMs gframe set max width */
/*! Design studio CSS section */
.gframew {
     max-width:100%!important; }

              • I agree. Will talk to you maybe later. Blessings my friend.

  • Wow it looks like Ning is in the middle of writing and integrating a fluent videos code. Here's the code they are in the middle of writing for fluent activity feed videos.

    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"],
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] {
      max-height: 360px;
      max-width: 480px;
    }
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent {
      width: 100%;
      height: 0;
      padding-bottom: 75%;
      position: relative;
    }
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent embed,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent iframe,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent embed,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent iframe {
      height: 100%;
      width: 100%;
      position: absolute;
      top: 0;
      left: 0;
    }

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And here's the changes. I think they should make to the code.
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"],
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] {
      max-height: 760px;
      max-width: 1000px;
    }
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent {
      width: 100%;
      height: 0;
      padding-bottom: 57%;
      position: relative;
    }
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent embed,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"] > .activityFeed-embedContent iframe,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent embed,
    .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] > .activityFeed-embedContent iframe {
      height: 100%;
      width: 100%;
      position: absolute;
      top: 0;
      left: 0;
    }
    • It's sad that you need to tell them how to do their job.  smh  Hope they're following here.....
      • Kos I think they are following their using my idea of a second wrap so it's possible to give Max widths to the videos. It was impossible with one wrap like with FluidVids.js I had to add a second wrap to accomplish the max width capabilities. If you only used one wrap to give a Max width the padding would keep rising because it's a percentage which would push all the content underneath the video down further and further as you stretch your page out but the video would stay the same size. That's why I originally came up with the idea of a second wrap. :-)
      • Hello John.
        That code is a fluent code for videos no matter when they added it.
        It does make the activity feed videos fluent without using my fluid video tip here on creators.
          • I've been working on that John. I've came up with quite a few ways that do work, but not well enough. So basically I figured out 100s of ways to not have it work right. LOL
            I'll keep working on it though. :-)
          • John since their already fluent after you hit the more button just add this snippet of code to your design studio. At least the videos will be the proper width now, but with Nings fluent code..
            .activityFeed-embed[data-type="video"],
            .activityFeed-embed[data-provider="SoundCloud"] {
              max-height: 760px;
              max-width: 1000px;
            }
    • John I'm having sort of the same issue rerunning my Fluid video JavaScript after the buttons been pressed. All the videos that were there before the button would disappear. Because it tries to rewrap the videos that are already wrapped. :-( So what I'm working on is trying to unwrap the 2 gframe divides and then rewrap them all with that single button click. When I have my issue fixed that will give me your fix. :-)
    • That sounds sweet John, keep up the awesome work :-)
      And thank you for the compliment. :)
