I know this has been asked many times before, but access to the head could speed up our networks performance.

If we had the ability to add code to the head we could use a Single-ad-call serving code to display multiple ad placements with ONE request to our ad server, instead of eight individual request.

when many seo tools score yor websites  the things that  fall under esential elements are typicaly

domain name title sitemap..etc with those 4-6 elements making up like 75-85% of the score then h2-h6 tags  maybe 3% and bold lists etc and others less then 1%  only overall word count  might be 6-7%

a proper sitemap might be about 20% of the overall score and thats 1 thing ive been pusghing for since joining yet the ning sitemap still is uselerss at best

when i joined discussions  and pages took the entire page content and duplicated it in the meta-description tag doubling the html size and googke and other engines expect 160 charachrers max some pages had 40000 words..not charachters

it took months of explaining the seo issues to getthat  fixed..and get any sitemap at all even a useless one

so when we discuss these issues we should keep in mind that alot of ncs dont get why they are important so we should try to explain the importance in simple to understand terms so even if they dont get the mechanics of it the vague concepts they can grasp at leat

Just like to throw my vote out there again for this after the frustration of having implemented this slider on my test network only to see it load like a half cocked gun in the hands of a drunk

Script loading last is ok if it's not on the homepage, for example if your are using it to inject ads under blogs, but trying to load it our homepage is a nightmare.

It would be great if we were allowed a limited number of additions to the head of our pages, and with some best practice guidelines and tutorials from Ning, especially at point of access, I.e. where we put the code in via our dashboards, then surely we can make this work.

Please!!
