Add Member Account Box Links/Notifications to NingBar, and Hide Account Box - - Saving Space Above Fold (Collaborative Efforts: Jen and Elson)
There are now 3 versions of this code.
Notes: #1 taking the least amount of space in Custom Code Box, and #3 taking the most space (but offers the most features):
What Will This Code Do For Your Network?

It took some careful thought to create this tip, like would it affect any other code, etc...Please let me know if this causes any issues.
A special thanks to Elson for adding the code for notifications, and thank you Elliott for helping out with the icons.
I hope you all enjoy this tip! See it live on JenSocial.com.

Permalink Reply by Bill on May 5, 2012 at 7:02am Hi Jen! This works, however the margin between modules still remains, so the 3 modules across the top of the 3 columns don't align.
In this screenshot, the account module heading shows up.
Upon adding the suggested code, the heading disappears, however the spacing seen above between the two headings still remains (see below). Any ideas?
Any ideas of how to remove the space above the "Follow & Share" module?

Thanks!! :)

Bill,
On the account module header, I intentionally left that for the Member Name to be displayed. And for notifications like comment approval, I left notifications. I'm hoping this will fix your problem, but since I have to be signed in to test it, not sure. If you want to remove these two, use this code:
/* Remove Account Module Header */
#xg_module_account .xg_module_head {
display:none!important;
}
/* Remove Notifications */
.xg_module.approval_module {
display:none!important;
}
Best Regards,
Jen

Hi Bill,
Got your pm about this. I see what you mean, probably a margin below the module that was there. I'll try to look into that soon as I can. I'll get back to you in VIP group.
Best,
Jen

Hi Bill,
Someone else may need this fix too. It's a bit tricky, but should work.
.xj_sidebar_content {
margin-top:-15px!important;
}
Best Regards,
Jen
Permalink Reply by Kos on January 20, 2013 at 1:16pm I'm bummed, it didn't work for me in Design Studio; they're still uneven. I wonder if there's something else conflicting that's stopping it. Maybe you can take a peek? http://stockbuz.net
This worked effortlessly,
Jen, you are really one of a kind. Much respect.
