Hi... I am the creator of an NPO network and do not want to be involved in financial hassles between my members, who are able to offer paid or volunteer services to eachother through the network.
However, I wonder if it is possible for me to offer members control of a page or group or other content where they can offer help for a price, using the paywall system and their own paypal account to direct payments in their direction. This might be useful, for example, for a professional translator wishing to establish a shop-front inside our network. Such a person could have a free access page explaning the service offered, and then a link for the page where a payment can be made.
The more I think about it, the more it sounds like work for me, to set up, with no good return. But nevertheless, maybe this is a way of using paywalls that could be useful, in some situations.
There isn't a way for anyone but the NC to create paywalls through the Ning Paid Access feature, but you could allow these members to create groups for their services. They can include links or other information within the groups to facilitate payments from the other members and also choose whether their groups should be public or private based on whether there's content within the group that they'd like others to pay to access. This sounds like the best way to allow you to stay hands-off in these processes.
