Adding Privacy Policy Page

Hey guys,

I wanted to add a Privacy Policy page in addition to the already existing Terms of Service. I wanted to link the Privacy Policy page from the website footer just as TOS. I know I can create a new page by adding a tab and entering a custom URL. I want to know if I can create another page (similar to TOS) and link it from the footer.

PS: I have a Ning Plus subscription.

Hi Arjun - thanks for posting this. I am looking to do a similar thing. Actually would anyone be able to assist me in how one codes or does a 'terms of service' page? Or point me in the direction of a thread that has discussed this before? I haven't even got that far yet....and cannot find anything on this....thanks alot :)

Hey Lisa.....you can just edit the Terms of Service by going to My Network > Settings > Terms of Service.

There is a text box where you can enter your own TOS. Your custom TOS will supersede the default TOS.

Hey everyone,

Quick question.....I have my custom Terms of Service that also cover the default TOS. However, when I display the TOS, both my custom as well as the default TOS is displayed. Is there any way I can not display the default TOS altogether?

I would like a link in my footer to "Privacy Policy" just like the original poster.

I added a privacy policy into my Terms of Service as my workaround.

Then I wanted the footer link to say "Terms of Service / Privacy Policy".  So I went digging in the Language Editor (English/US).  But I couldn't find where to edit the phrase "Terms of Service".  Isn't that what the Language Editor is for?   Can someone point me to the place where I edit the language that shows up in my footer.

I LITERALLY just updated the spec for a Privacy Policy feature 4 minutes ago. It will likely do exactly what you're looking for Clark.
