Dear Ning Team:
There seems to be a bug in the way the embedded videos are added from youtube to the Latest Activity area in Ning.
Whenever, a video from Youtube is added the description area is popuplated with the original Youtube description on the "Add Video" screen. The user is then allowed to modify that description. However, when user modifies the description to the something else, it will not be carried over to the Latest Activity area. Instead the original youtube description is inserted into the Latest Activity.
If members click on the actual video link, the video summary displays the description as modified by user.
This is highly confusing and does not contribute to good feedback from membership.
The preference would be to maintain the description that the member typed in during the embedding process.
Yes, I saw this last night. I edited out the YouTube description upon embedding and saved. And then...when it shows up in the activity feed, what I deleted was still there!! Went to the video page to double check (thought maybe I'd forgotten to hit "save") but, no...the video was just as I'd edited it.
