Allow comments on network.ning.com/page/ ? How does it work?

When I create a new www.network.ning.com/page/ it always gives me the option for

"comments", but I have never seen any comment boxes on any of my pages?

 

Only once here on Creators where someone had created a page, to demonstrate members back then could create pages, did I see comments.

I never allowed comments on any of my pages, so I created one just to see what was what. There is no comment box.

you guys might want to put a ticket in..i just made a page selected comments, and  hit save  and a comment box showed up..

I never had a desire to have a comment box on my pages, so that's one bug I'll not be reporting. I just created the page and checked the box to see if it was just Brian or not. If it's happening to both of us, chances are it's happening to others.

I love the /page/ function of Ning and I have used it all the time. NEVER have I seen a comment box show up, but somehow I keep clicking it off.

 

What is going on? I'm confused.

Brian, I didn't say I didn't like pages, I said I never had a need for allowing comments on pages.

I've had the same problem intermittently. Even after checking Allow Comments, no comment box shows up. Contact Ning and they'll add that feature to the page you create.

This feature has worked for me.  I just added a page last week, checked the Comments box, and got a great ability for people to add comments to the page.  I haven't received any comments on this page, yet, however.

wow - ok - thanks for everyones feedback! This seems to be a bug that some of us are seeing. I'll file a ticket right now cause on some of my pages I need this.

I got a reply from Ning on the December 21st 2010 saying they had forwarded this problem to a programmer. I have written to them since but gotten no reply.
