My website is not driving engagement as it should after a month or so. I would be really grateful if people could have a look around StarryID and give me some advice.

You have a potentially great looking network, your logo is strong and the dark blue looks good.
The red and green links don't work aesthetically.
But the real problem is your layout. Will photos top and center drive engagement? I'm guessing no. Initially, you'll need to drive traffic and engagement with your own content, blogs by the look of it on your particular site. Maybe put that more centrally and add your own content more regularly to start with, tweet it, Facebook it, send to friends etc. You might feel initially like you're whispering up a cow's backside but soon people will notice. That's my experience anyway.
Also, try adding a slider that points people to core elements of the site, and definitely add some slides that say what your network is actually about and for.

Great advice thanks. I've made adjustments now. I suppose I should ask for like-minded people to post their blogs too and share them. Any other advice (that was really helpful :))?

So you based yours from your Blogtalkradio show as well I noticed. That's what inspired my site, was my show. Put more focus on that and the bottom ad I recommend putting that on the sidebar so that it's not huge, and not overbearing at the bottom of the site.

Promote it more on your show, I name drop my network every show and also have my site's rss feed go to a twitter dedicated to the site as well as a fan page.
