Anonymous question submission on ning site?

On our site (which we use for philosophical study groups), we're wanting to create some way in which members can submit anonymous questions that we can then later group into a discussion to allow the community to answer.

I was thinking perhaps a 'box' on the homepage with a field where someone can enter their question (similar to a 'suggestion box' type idea), but am open to various possibilities.

It would be ok for moderators to see who makes the submission, but we want it to be private from any other members. Ease of use is also important.

Any thoughts on how to make something like this? Or does someone know of an add-on, or html code for a textbox that could be used for this?

Hi Jon,

On my site, I have an app to allow anonymous replies to discussions.  Maybe that, or some mod of it, would fit your need.  You could start a discussion then let the anon replies act as the anon questions that can be answered anon or non-anon in that discussion.  Or it could be modified to suit your specific requirements.  Feel free to contact me if interested.

Thank TJ. Can you point me to the app so I can see how it works or try it out? Allowing anonymous posts in a discussion would actually be ideal for our purposes.

You could also make a google docs spreadsheet... there is a way to generate one from an iframe form you can design. Then you can embed the iframe code on a page...
