There are so many: the ability to bulk delete videos and photos and the need for some organization in our site inboxes just to name three that are important to ME.
I just found another one.
This morning I woke up to TEN group invites on a site I belong to. I had to visit each group and click the join button. That's ten times and I don't even want to count the number of clicks.
Why can't I simply tick off the ones I want to join from my Invite screen and be done with it??
Being a librarian, I'm all about organization and efficiency, and I must admit that these small annoyances are...well...annoying.
They seem like such small things to fix, but of course, everything seems like a small thing to me since I'm not a computer engineer.
Are these things really that hard to tweak and make better?

I couldn't agree with you more, Diane! If it's frustrating for us, imagine how frustrating it must be for our members. Having the ability to mass delete photos, videos and friends, as well as the ability to tick a box to approve or decline group invites would encourage more interaction for our sites.
I agree! Of course - the ability to ACCEPT group invites would be great too! I've tested private group invites and they DO NOT WORK... The member has to REQUEST membership to join!
