http://sharethis.com and other services allow people to share content from a webpage to any number of social networks. Is it possible to get them to add Ning to their list of social networks?

Another question that has come up is, Can I share content from other social networks WITH (TO) my Ning network?

Seems to me that both of these features would greatly enhance the value of Ning networks and encourage more share of content. The reality is that the vast majority are already on several other social networks. Asking them to join and participate on yet another one (Ning) is proving to be a bigger challenge that I expected.

Would love to hear what other NCs have to say about this.

Thanks,
Steve

  • On my site I have Linked Ning sites in my navigation bar.  Just ones that I belong to.  A lot of members like this because they can go from one site to another just by cliking on the linked site drop down.  Of course you do need permission from the other sites Creator, a sort of sharing.
