Permalink Reply by Kristy on June 2, 2012 at 9:09am I hear you. I've been going back and forth with the 2-column layout, and can't seem to find a balance that I like. Maybe I'll give it another go this week.
Permalink Reply by Debby de Wilde on May 31, 2012 at 11:17pm I loved the idea of this 'competition' and I loved (and still do) to see how others designed theirs. But there's something that has been bothering me since this started.
Helpseeker, I like that you set this up but what really bugs me is the fact that several times you really ripped peoples network apart. No matter what our experience or goal is, ALL of us tried to do their best to make their network look nice for their members.
No one will mind some constructive criticism and tips, but please stop being so negative.
Just had to get this off my chest.
Permalink Reply by HELP SEEKER on June 1, 2012 at 2:08am Hello, can you please explain what exactly you are reffering to and please send me PM with all the explanations. Thank you.

Same here! No need for PMs. It's real simple HELP SEEKER. You started this discussion for NCs to enter their site for Best Design, and for others to vote. THEN, you proceed to critique (criticize) the majority of the entries, and most of what you have said is incorrect, unprofessional, and makes no sense. I looked at your site. Has it hit you yet? You haven't received one vote that I've seen.
BTW, I hate to sound so harsh, but maybe a little bit of your own medicine will come home to you. This is why I rarely critique a site. Unless they say "please be honest, I can take it..." I don't. The old saying: "One man's junk is another man's treasure." could actually apply to Design. I have yet to meet a NC who doesn't work very hard to make their site look as good, as they possibly can. We all have different skill levels and talents, some more, some less. But, I always try to remember, what looks good to me, may not look to someone else.
Best Regards,
Jen
