Has anyone tried the "Best of the Week" template for broadcast messages by Garfield Creator? Gotta tell you, I look forward to trying this out. It sounds awesome. Garfield's site: Creators University
Here's the message I received.
I have completed work on the latest "Best of the Week" template. Best of the Week Broadcast is a Best Practice. Ning Creators uses it Weekly. This version requires no understanding of HTML or spreadsheets. Just fill out a form, copy & paste html into your broadcast window, and click send. If you are an NC it's essential to your community. It's available at Creatorsu.ning.com. It takes less than 5 minutes to send out. If you have any questions I'm available to chat right from the Creator's Dashboard group from my chat module. http://creators.ning.com/group/ningpro
All the best - Garfield Creator.
Here's what Garfield explains on the site:
Tuition is only $30/year and you will find things here you won't find anywhere else as well as some things you've seen before...
Please let us know if you try it out. The minute I get the chance I plan on giving it a test run.
Best Regards,
Jen

Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on February 2, 2012 at 9:34pm Nice job, Jen and Garfield!

Oh, I didn't have anything to do with this. But I know Garfield has been working on perfecting this for some time. And he kindly offered my VIP Members a discount. I don't know exactly how it works yet, but it sounds really simple. Of course Eric, you are the inspiration behind this awesome format. ;-)
Thanks for featuring this. I feel this could be a great help to a lot of Creators.
Best Regards,
Jen

Excellent question. I would like to know this too. Maybe Garfield will see this soon.
Thanks David.

Thank you, Jen. I didn't expect such a flattering endorsement. I'll work on a video this weekend showing the latest version which I think is really worth this endorsement. (It will be in real time showing me sending myself the broadcast message). Essentially, all an NC will have to do is fill out a web form (no spreadsheet, no html) on their network and copy & paste the resulting html they get (after submitting the form) into the html tab of the Broadcast Message. I've designed all the formatting to be very similar to the Best of the Week Template that Ning sends out but a little better in my opinion. This will make it very simple for any NC to keep in contact with their members and share content on their network. Once someone uses it there is no way they will go back to writing plain old text broadcast messages.
And yes $30 is really yearly tuition not just for this template. (plus anyone who refers an NC who joins will get $10 to their Paypal). I'm interested in building a community. I have 2 other major projects completed that a network will find an undeniable contribution to their network. One is particularly useful for Networks with a lot of members. A lot.

I think a Video would be great.
Hoping many NCs realize the power and convenience of what you're offering.
Best,
Jen

Garfield,
I have a couple of VIP Members asking me about the discount. If you have time could you hop over to VIP Club and explain on the comment wall?
Thanks,
Jen

Will get right on it. :-). Thank you, again for your generosity.
Permalink Reply by Deb Fellows on February 4, 2012 at 10:59am I joined CU for $30 and would love to get the template for this. I haven't heard from you and am wondering what else I need to do to get the template? Thanks!
