Has anyone tried the "Best of the Week" template for broadcast messages by Garfield Creator? Gotta tell you, I look forward to trying this out. It sounds awesome. Garfield's site: Creators University
Here's the message I received.
I have completed work on the latest "Best of the Week" template. Best of the Week Broadcast is a Best Practice. Ning Creators uses it Weekly. This version requires no understanding of HTML or spreadsheets. Just fill out a form, copy & paste html into your broadcast window, and click send. If you are an NC it's essential to your community. It's available at Creatorsu.ning.com. It takes less than 5 minutes to send out. If you have any questions I'm available to chat right from the Creator's Dashboard group from my chat module. http://creators.ning.com/group/ningpro
All the best - Garfield Creator.
Here's what Garfield explains on the site:
Tuition is only $30/year and you will find things here you won't find anywhere else as well as some things you've seen before...
Please let us know if you try it out. The minute I get the chance I plan on giving it a test run.
Best Regards,
Jen

You can absolutely customize the text for the title. I've designed it so any Network can make it their own.

I've posted a discussion on the Best of the Week Template that addresses the whole how does this thing work and look. Hopefully this addresses all the questions in this discussion regarding this. Now Live: Best of the Week Video Walkthrough

Hi Everyone,
Garfield has created a nice walk-through Video. See at bottom of discussion.
Best Regards,

Permalink Reply by Robert and Sache' Jacks on March 4, 2012 at 2:00pm Good afternoon, I just signed up to Creators but used wrong email address to register.
Also can I get a receipt from Pay Pal for the registration fee. Thanks.

I don't understand. You can chat with me live at the Creator's Dashboard group. Click here.

For anyone else watching this was figured out and I had a great conversation with Robert and Sache' Jacks.
Permalink Reply by Christine Agro on July 19, 2012 at 7:58am I signed up and it's ok. But I don't like that I have to go to his site to create a mailing each time. I was hoping for a stand alone template.

Good point and I was planning on updating this anyway. The current version is even newer than what is shown on the video. I plan on offering a version that you can embed on your own site to create broadcast messages.
Permalink Reply by Christine Agro on July 19, 2012 at 12:09pm Hi Garfield - that would be great. Any idea on when you might have that to test out.
And when you say current version - that's the one on CU that I played with yesterday when I registered...yes?
At this point I'm really thinking about just using Constant Contact - I can automatically import members and the templates are much easier to work with - including importing rss feeds. But it's just one more thing to have to do and pay for. Any way - the search continues. Your solution is a good fix for the general broadcast message currently available on NING.
