Has anyone tried the "Best of the Week" template for broadcast messages by Garfield Creator? Gotta tell you, I look forward to trying this out. It sounds awesome. Garfield's site: Creators University
Here's the message I received.
I have completed work on the latest "Best of the Week" template. Best of the Week Broadcast is a Best Practice. Ning Creators uses it Weekly. This version requires no understanding of HTML or spreadsheets. Just fill out a form, copy & paste html into your broadcast window, and click send. If you are an NC it's essential to your community. It's available at Creatorsu.ning.com. It takes less than 5 minutes to send out. If you have any questions I'm available to chat right from the Creator's Dashboard group from my chat module. http://creators.ning.com/group/ningpro
All the best - Garfield Creator.
Here's what Garfield explains on the site:
Tuition is only $30/year and you will find things here you won't find anywhere else as well as some things you've seen before...
Please let us know if you try it out. The minute I get the chance I plan on giving it a test run.
Best Regards,
Jen

I am a NC of long ago and collaborate in the forum "Ning Networks in español" of Ning Creators. I am expert in Analytics & Search Engine Optimization and I would want to ask if my contributions on this subject could offer value with my registry in Creators University.
The problem is that I do not speak/write in english. But I think that many spanish NC would accept to join in CU if outside possible to create a specific group for hispanic Creators. It's possible?
Best Regards,
Lorenzo
Note: Sorry for to write badly english :-P

That sounds good. I sent you a friend request. We should talk more about how that would be possible.

I've sent the video tutorial to Jen and a link to the template for her to test it out. I think she will be very pleased by it but I will let her speak for herself. Also Deb Fellows has seen the video and has been given access to the form to create a broadcast message. She has been very patient as she had joined the network a few days ago and was eager to see how it worked. Here is what she had to say so far.
"Nice job! Well thought out, easy to follow, love that you show setting up an email in real time. Excited to get started and more confident because I know I can refer back to the videos. Thanks!"
I was seconds from paying the 30$ then I thought wait, I don't want to buy a cat in a bag. Can I see screen shots, something ? Anything ? Hello ?

Yes, use my Best of the Week template instead.

Permalink Reply by The PL Team (d&e) on February 8, 2012 at 12:36pm Sans the color scheme, I really like what you've put together there, what are you using and do you have a template? It seems to me you're possibly using RSS to feed all those links in there correct? Or did you manually add all that!?

Permalink Reply by Deb W. on February 10, 2012 at 8:19am Hey Garfield - We send out our broadcast messages every two weeks. Does your template allow us to change the title from "Best of the Week" to something else? (we're currently using "Network News")
