Broadcast Message - Questions & Suggestions

Hi,

I absolutely love the fact that we can now send HTML broadcast message - thank you so much for enabling this!

I have a few questions and suggestions about it:

Questions

1) When I send a list of links using html code, when it arrives in my inbox some of them are underlined and others are not. They are all clickable but i'm just not sure why some are underlined and others aren't? (I use the usual ahref tags for all of them).

2) How would I go about changing the colour of the network title and description - the part that appears on the top of the html message when it comes through? Is this a language editor change?


Suggestions

1) I think it would be good to have tools in the broadcast message box so I can easily add links without needing to code - the same ones as in this box that i'm typing in now would be fine.

2) I think we definitely need a way of previewing the message before it gets sent. I've already had to send correction messages twice due to me missing a quote or similar mistake.

RE Google Analytics and Broadcast Messages

Is that automatic? I was just looking at custom URLs for tracking. I wondered if I needed to do that manually for broadcast messages.

So, I do have Analytics installed and it is running. Where do I go in Analytics to find the data related to the message? How do I know which link is from which message, considering not all members read email the same day it is sent.

Also, what is a /Referral in Analytics?

How do you brand the little header in the broadcast messge with your logo? Right now, mine comes out with a generic blue box and my community name. Thanks!

Until Ning integrates an HTML editor, I suggest you put a handy link on your network to an online HTML editor like:

http://www.online-html-editor.org/

Using the http://www.SkySa.com navigation box you can put handy links at the bottom of your ning network.

You can set it to open the editor in a separate Window. When done, just copy and paste the html into the broadcast dialog and test it by clicking send me a Preview.

Any updates on a save function (save & close, or save & send) for broadcast emails? This would be very helpful if you are planning on sending an email out at a specific time that you won't be near a computer as well as preparing parts of the email and the rest at a later time. This is especially important now that we can write in html (as opposed to plain text that you can simply save in word or google docs).

I'm having trouble with my broadcast. I upload images to go with it, format them with the WYSIWYG editor, and then they never show up in the emails! This has happened a dozen times or so. No matter what I try, the images simply do not show up in any of my emails to my network. What am I doing wrong?
