Has Ning discussed this at the round table? I wonder if it has come up before and if Ning plans to work on this in the future.

Are there any Ning extensions coming up that could be a store front?

+1
+2 LOL! Seriously though, that would be a grand idea!!
That smells a price increase. Beware what you wish for. Let's deal with the July 20th nightmare first.

another +1, you're right. I'd prefer it were free, though. There are some options out there......im going to look more into Ecwid like Lisa suggested, if i can make a little money from my members having shops, that'd be awesome!

Agree! It most likely would be an add on with a fee, but hey, from the profit one would make (if the feature is seriously for your network and you gear it correctly) the add on fee is so minor. Hope we get an addition!

Ive been using Ecwid on my network..

I now have a market place on my network too where members pay a monthly fee to have a shop with a cart.

Its very new and I have 7 shops already and few I still need to add :)

So while we wait for NING to do this (if they're ever going to) head over to Ecwid..its free and its user friendly :)

Hi JP,

We have heard this request before, though it is not on our roadmap as of now. I'll be interested to hear more from others who are interested in this type of feature, what alternatives are being used and what functionality you all are looking for.

Oodle operates a network of online marketplaces with more than 15M monthly unique users including the Oodle Marketplace, Walmart and the Marketplace on Facebook . A simple Ning extension of Oodle will provide commerce on the site and also provides pages views from the millions of listing.

Checkout the publisher section on Oodle http://www.oodle.com/info/partner/

Don't know what it is going to be but for sure I can see a logo that we all know...

yes, yes.  Please let's talk about a shopping cart!

I have figured out hot to integrate Ecwid into my network but cannot put code on member page. I have tried to put code in text box but this does not work. Any suggestions on how to add to members page.

You can just integrate a shop using spreadshirt.com - Had mine for a few months now
