Can "full screen" in videos be fixed ?

There is something in Ning's coding that blocks full screen video option.I'm tired of answering "why full screen doiesn't work" questions, lol. Any chance that could be fixed anytime soon ?

Not sure what you mean. I'm able to view videos in fullscreen mode.

What happens when you click the "Full screen" button? And what operating system and browser are you using?

Nothing happens. I'm not sure for uploaded videos but when videos are embedded something blocks the full screen mode. It just doesn't work. This is a known problem, i remember discussions about it from developer network.

Can you please check it ? I'm tired answering "full screen doesn't work" ten times a day :). And my members are dying for it.

Neither of these videos will go full screen. I'm thinking it's an issue with EMBEDDED videos, not NING videos... The Ning video you linked to worked fine. The two I'm linking are from Vimeo and Youtube. My youtube-embedded videos also do not go full screen. Nothing happens when I click the button, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I'm using FireFox (not sure what version) on Windows XP (not sure what version pack).

Hi Janettee,

I am able to full screen the Vimeo but not the Youtube even though the "full screen value" is still set to "true".  From all these responses there seems to be a wide variance in experience. I placed a reply of mine from a "same, same" thread later in this one outlining where my videos "work" and where not. If you want to look for it.

Very strange! I've never noticed this before or seen any reports. We're pretty focused on Facebook integration, but I'll see what I can do!

I have just embedded some of my Vimeo videos and the full screen button does not work. When the video is playing in NING and I press the fullscreen button it just stops the video from playing.
