I received a message from Facebook about the use of their Graph API. Asking me to migrate all calls to a newer version of the Graph API - see below. Because I can imagine more people receive this message, I post this question both here and and through the ticket system. Can someone tell me if I can just upgrade to a newer version of the Graph API, without affecting the Facebook signing in/up functionality on my network?
I followed the instructions Facebook provided, to check if 'my app will be affected by this upgrade'. Their 'version upgrade tool tells me: "Your app hasn't made enough calls to the Graph API to show any info, or there are no changes for the methods you selected between v2.2 and v2.8". It tells me so for every version (from 2.3 up to 2.8). 63 members make use of the social sign up/in through Facebook on my network.
If I can just upgrade, what is the latest version I can upgrade to? The latest is currently v2.8.
Thanks a lot for your attention.
v2.2 Upgrade Reminder You can view this and other Developer Notifications related to your app, in the App Dashboard.Sociaal platform LOC currently has access to Graph API v2.2 which will reach the end of its 2-year lifetime on 27 March, 2017. To ensure a smooth transition, please migrate all calls to Graph API v2.3 or higher. To check if your app will be affected by this upgrade you can use the Version Upgrade Tool. This will show you which calls, if any, are affected by this change as well as any replacement calls in newer versions.
