Can members blog on Wordpress and then send to Ning

I heard that a member can blog on their Wordpress and then send it to their Ning site....is that true or is that a funtion for a creator?  Thanks!

This is a Pro feature only. I'm Plus and could have really used this.  :(  Anyway, here is a discussion that may help you out.

Diane...uless I'm not reading correctly, it's a funtion just for the publisher/creator and not a feature available for members.

Well, THAT'S a bummer.  I didn't realize that.  It's not really made clear in the discussion.  I assumed that all members could use the plug-in.  How useful is it if it's just one person allowed to use it???  Makes no sense to me.

There is a Ning Wordpress app. I am not clear what it does, but it sounds relevant. I have been meaning to learn what it does because we have many members with Wordpress blogs. I think it enables a feed to the person's Ning profile....not sure.....

I played around with the WordPress App last night (NOT the plug-in, but the app) and it feeds MY Wordpress blog onto my site on it's own page.  It lists my most recent posts with links.

This defeats my purpose in keeping members on-site, so I disabled it.

I have yet to test it out...but seems a bit compicated for the "average" user to implement.

 

Curious if anyone else has tried it and if it actually works.

Yeah, that doesn't sound cool, Diane Lynne. No way to actually make it display the text of the blog? i wonder what the stated purpose of the app is!!!! How MIGHT it work to enhance our member engagement on our sites?? And is it NOT set up that way? 

These are the questions I am finally asking!!

Great to hear of these experiences and resources. I just got smart and searched Creators for "Wordpress app" and got a nice list I have yet to look into:
