UPDATE: this issue has been solved within two hours of the original posting. I can connect to chat on my network, and so can apparently anyone else on my and other networks. Thanks, Ning, for the quick fix.
None of my members, including me, can connect to the chat. Trying to connect always fails. This holds for both the new chat as well as the old flash-based chat. Anyone else with the same issues?

Permalink Reply by Colon Cancer Alliance on January 17, 2012 at 6:35am My community chat is not working either. We were using the old chat. We tried changing to the new chat but that didn't solve the problem. Wierd that I can use Ning Creators chat but not my community's chat.

Permalink Reply by Blake on January 17, 2012 at 8:15am Yep! Our crack on-call team was able to identify the issue and resolve it. Chat should be good to go.
Permalink Reply by Ceddy J on January 21, 2012 at 1:54am Back in Beta testing I noticed a jquery code in my custom code box stopped the chat from connecting. You guys might want to make sure there isn't any custom code stopping your chats from connecting.

Permalink Reply by Jason Leitman on January 21, 2012 at 7:18pm it was disabled apparently ....if they are not using it ...not much incentive for users.
Permalink Reply by George Montgomery on January 22, 2012 at 2:13am that's bizarre!
One minute it was there - now its gone.
Permalink Reply by Gary W Norman on January 21, 2012 at 7:46am I run the newchat on BeardedGents.com and it works fine for me ( I use Vista OS and IE8 Browser), but a few of my members are complaining that it's slow, unresponsive/freezes up, or just doesn't work. I'm surprised as I figured these issues would not be with the new chat. I also thot we'd have a stealth mode as NC's to monitor chat 'covertly.' lol I did read that if you use Firefox that one needs to add the addy to the 'trusted sites' to get it to function properly.
