I was wondering if there is any way to create sub groups within a group. I have not been successful on finding this out on my own...

Could someone please let me know if this is possible and if it is how to go about doing it.

Thanks in advance...

I don't believe that you can do it at present. It is a feature which would be really, really useful on my network.
Ferick I am not sure this will help but I noticed it when I was looking for some advanced option choices for an issue I am having...

Its located under Advanced Options on the Manage tab

Robots.txt

Edit the robots.txt file for your Ning Network to specify rules for search engines.
How about just creating the other groups that would be sub groups and using the text box to display the links to those groups as a workaround.
LOL didn't think of that but it would be a fairly simple workaround.
We could really use a sub-group too - lots of requests from our members.
I know this is an old topic that I was hoping would be addressed with the upgrade to Pro, but apparently it has not been. We had thought about doing it the way you suggest, but how do you make the groups available to paying members only without requiring them to join each group within the main one?

If I create a group and add links to other groups within it, I need a way to allow members join the main group and then automatically be a member of the rest without having to join them all. For example, we had a Book Studies group, and we want to create "sub" groups for individual books. I can create the "sub" groups so that they joining them is not required, but then the limited/non-paying members can get to them via the Groups page, and we don't want that to happen.
I would also like to have sub-groups within groups.
I'm also voting for this:)
We could use this in our network as well.
Oh yes.
We need subgroup also
I vote fot that
here my vote ;-)

P.S: Thanks for the tip Garfield, is a good work around for now ;-)

P.P.S: ...but a bit confusing for members when they try to find the "subgroup" when opening a new group...
We could really use sub-groups too - we've had a lot of requests from our members.
