Hey..I'd love your opinions..it's still a work of progress..
I've made the network public..will only leave it public for the next few hours then go back to private until I'm ready to launch it...
I'd LOVE your feedback!
I think you are off to a fantastic start. Some real terrific design sense, web-usability, and end-user optimization. Shame it will not remain public.
Retitle your photos to get the code strips off. Images are social media too with commenting, and since taking photos of homegrown produce is so visually intensive, attractive, and easy to do- uploading and interacting on them could be a featured activity on your site.
Your button paneling is beautiful. The buttons and tags could be a great promotional tool/ perk. There's a bit of a trend where people take something like that and make sure it is included with their photos.
You've got a contest opportunity with the "food miles". All someone need do is look at their food labels to find where it came from, and if you perhaps coordinate that with a map, counting the miles could be pretty easy. You could incentivise and do a sort of biggest loser thing- who can get to zero first and/or who can cut the most miles off.
Best of luck with your project. I notice some good Nings coming out of Capetown. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the fantastic advice! I didn't even think about renaming the pictures :P I'm doing that right now.
Thanks for the contest suggestion! Its an awesome one, will absolutely be putting some thought into it..!
You bet! Lol! I should have made the connection. The "other good Nings coming out of Capetown" I was referring to are your work. Best, Anthony
It's gorgeous - congrats. :)
Love it! Looks great ~
Thanks! Glad you like it :)
Done! Thanks for the code!
Yes will 100% be doing that with regards to the advertise here banners...I've still got to create my email accounts (I do it via google apps) but I'm waiting for my new domain name first :)
WOW guys! Thanks so much for the GREAT tips and suggestions!! Will absolutely be following your suggestions :)
I'm going to make the site fully public as soon as I've finished adding a few other things so it won't be private always.
I really appreciate the feedback!
I was wondering where to put social icons on the network..
Maybe in the Navigation bar? Or maybe in a footer if I create one?
I'd check out Bannersnack - it has taken my sites to the next level...
