Anybody want to critique my site?
4 things about my site:
1. I'm not very good with HTML, so I haven't done much to the site's design in those terms.
2. It's a very small site, which brings up the question, is it normal for it to be this slow for people to sign up? I've had it since March.
3. Hopefully, you can tell it's centered around gaming.
4. The banner will be changed soon, it will be a open contest to the community.
Here's the link -> www.qewd.com
Also, i'm thinking about getting Elson Tan's eReward 2 for my network as it is somewhat close to what gamers do in most games: earn points and rank up. Sorry if this post is poorly laid out, i'm not exactly thinking correctly right now. Thanks!

Permalink Reply by solo on August 27, 2012 at 2:09pm nice network..as for html and css..you will get there...but nice network as in term for gamers..not to fund for dark networks, but yours looks great.
to your second question..have you submitted your site to google or any other search engines?.if you havent there is a post or a discussion on this topic in this forum.unless you have alot of cash to spend on advertising..its going to be slow..and look at "punchtab" for there rewards program for your members
have a great day
Permalink Reply by Chandler Hill on August 27, 2012 at 5:36pm Thanks :) It's a bit slow recently though, but it will pick up I think. We have a good amount of visits according to Google Analytics though :) And I have submitted it, so we'll see. Have a great day to you too :)
Permalink Reply by Lisa A Cash Hanson on August 27, 2012 at 11:36pm I think you did a good job- the graphics are hard on the eyes but I realized right away it was gaming so I think you picked what works for your audience.
The size probably depends. I don't want to make you feel bad but I got 74 today- well and partially last night.
I think for you whatever draws gamers is what you need to do. Then go in their forums and let them know you have things they need whatever that is- I know nothing about games so I can help you their.
Maybe you can get your hands on something they really want and offer it up if they earn a certain amount of points on your site. Points they get by tweeting and sharing?
Then ask them to upload posts of favorite gaming tips or something ( not sure if you do posts there) but then you can judge and the winner gets the cool prize or something- that may help bring people in.
Permalink Reply by Chandler Hill on September 2, 2012 at 9:41am Thanks for your view on this, it helps. I changed the background as I had only received one report of the background being a bit harsh before this, so it was time to change a bit. It should be better now. I am thinking about adding eReward 2 for points. Thanks :)
Permalink Reply by Ceddy J on September 11, 2012 at 10:18pm Being a gaming network you should do small giveaways from time to time. Maybe a copy of one of the most popular games and surround it around something that will get you members more involved or to where they have to invite more people.
Permalink Reply by Chandler Hill on September 12, 2012 at 4:30pm I'm thinking of doing a giveaway soon, but we'll see if i'm able to. Thanks for the tip :)
