Long time ago I wrote this UNIQUE CLASS NAME FOR EVERY PAGE. Maybe it's hard to achieve. But it very necessary for groups. Then every group can easily has it's own special style or functions. Every group must be something different. And I hate use javascript to do CSS things. The performance issue is very serious.
Or Ning has better ideas for customizing groups? Independent Design Studio? :)

i hope ning will improve groups. its one of improtant part of ning and needs proper attention
Ismail, I'm a bit confused. You say that an "owner of a group should not be able to see emails of members." I didn't think they could, either email addresses or email messages. That would be a concern to me if it could, but I don't see that they can. Am I missing something?

Permalink Reply by ATLANTIAN TRAVELER on July 22, 2012 at 2:00am i already seen this done 3 years ago in my own web site, i wont name the designer of the custom css that has to be installed into main css. but here is how it worked in my site after css is installed into main css custom, then you go to the group and a off ning site file with a picture html url ,is installed into the text box. reason i wont mention name of the designer , they felt they had the right to delete members archives and other content of the site and then cowardly ran off.
Permalink Reply by ATLANTIAN TRAVELER on July 22, 2012 at 2:10am to ismail shah if you want a group to remain even if the creator of the group decides to leave your site or skip town always feature the group because if its creator leaves what ever content they decide to leave behind will be saved . so if you have a awesome group always make a rich text document file and copy it to save it as back up , in case at later date it is erased. many like me started our websites as a off shoot in a group of someones site. i always called them sister or mother sites where original group was located as it can be used as a link to your site or any other site you wish to have same group material in. beware of using others content blogs etc. because of plajurism rights i dont think ning or anyone else on internet appreciates plajurist ive been victim to this my self , so be kind to others as you wish them to be to you be original if someones elses ideas inspire you dont copy all their content make your own.
under ning guide lines i cant mention the names of these plajurist who infect our ning platform . all i can say is choose your members well especially carefull be choosy who you authorise as admins cause some times they become over zealous and can eraze of mess up your layout.
Permalink Reply by ATLANTIAN TRAVELER on July 22, 2012 at 2:18am i joined a site several weeks ago 7 days after im there already i couldnt use my sign in protocol was a small window apeared change password and email address after that i notice for 3 different days my content was being moved around on my page while i was sitting in the site. so this mite be a culprit in reading others email if ning chooses i will identifie the site as this site and one other i left was using the same tactics

This goes in html box in specific group.
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="theme.css" ></link>
This goes into a css file which you will need to upload to your network and replace theme.css with the link to the css file you just uploaded.
