Hi Ning/Everyone

I have two main ning websites. One is a private forum for my niche industry and the other is a public site which I use as a content management system to market my customers who pay me to promote them online.

I know that the Terms and Conditions page on all Ning sites is a public page that everyone can see regardless of whether they are a member or not.

On a private network is there some way to make certain pages or areas of the site public? For example could I create pages that the search engines and general public can see without them having to log into and sign up to the private site?

Thanks

I do find validity on making certain pages public on a private ning network. A site I created for my client http://www.s-men.org has some HEALTH related information under the resources tab he would like to make public.

Overall, I would like NING to continue in their efforts to PERFECT their platform; adding additional features and options, but most of all, listening to the consumer and the demands of their clients.

This should be a basic feature...

I would love to see it where we could make just the blogs public. Perfect for SEO and still private to where everyone would have to join for the rest. Just my 2 cents lol.

That would be a start- but dont hold your breath Ning dont seem interested...

Ning don't seem to be interested in members needs?? Well, I understand it cos it's a free service... OH WAIT, IT'S NOT FREE, SOME OF US PAY 350€ (not dollars, but euros)/year

Esto es una puta vergüenza, Ning....

Even paying what you do I still think that it's the best social network available for the money. Now I could be wrong but with specific features that we want there's still no better alternative. Right?

No need to curse, Ropeman. We aren't able to implement every request, but we are always here to listen.

I agree Eric, sorry for the ugly words. But this one seems quite a popular need and Ning doesn't seem to be interested. Maybe it would be a good idea to post a list with NC's most popular ideas that are being considered by Ning?

I don't think we'll put up a list because that implies that the features we build might be up for a vote. This one you are hoping for might actually happen, but I'm not certain right now.

Well Eric, that's the point, to build features that users want...

I know that being able to vote on what you want us to build next is an attractive idea, but it's just not one we can pursue (it's not one that any similar service has ever truly pursued). However, we do listen very closely here in this community; the things we hear on Creators strongly influences what we do.

I appreciate that :-D
