Permalink Reply by NingStar on April 15, 2012 at 1:51pm We have deliberated on this issue severally i still don't know why Ning cannot implement this feature since everyone needs this control on their network. All we are asking is that Ning add the ability for NCs to make pages and features like groups, blogs....etc public in a private network. The current offering is just not ideal to all because not everyone want their networks to be fully public. I really don't know what it will take for NIng to listen to us on this issue.

Permalink Reply by HELP SEEKER on June 30, 2012 at 1:24pm i am voting for this too +1, we need public and private pages (specifically dating sites)
- good for SEO , good for charging memberships and remains private
Permalink Reply by Shannon @ SyfrSpace on July 27, 2012 at 1:23pm I need to express my wish for this as well. For some reason we thought it had been done, but now that I am trying to create a public blog on a private network, I see that it has not been implemented.
Permalink Reply by Kim Peterson on August 26, 2012 at 4:52pm The main objective I am trying to accomplish is to build members and traffic. We have great content throughout the site and in exchange for the ability to access all of it the visitor should offer their email. This is why I would use the private setting. The inability to share articles via FB, Twitter etc. really squashes the ability to drive traffic and build members. I guess we could use pop ups to accomplish this as well, but I am really not a fan of those. More flexibility with the privacy setting would be great!
