Is there any way (or plans in the near future) for us to be able to delete members who are inactive or who have left our networks.

it's not the same because suspending puts a cookie in their browser that prevents them from accessing the site.

Therefore it would be much better if we can delete inactive member profiles. If they decide to come back they can sign up again. But if I suspend there profile maybe they are shocked or something like that ... OMG why I am suspended here ... and now all pages are blocked.

@ Just M - this thread is very often asked here and I don't understand why the NING staff do not provide us this option too!
today it is useless to edit a reply .... and this editor sucks today too .... I read that the NING staff is considering this topic -.... nice ...

I agree with this one. We also have some members who accidentally created two accounts.  Because we are a business network one of those accounts is often an email address from their former company they can not access anymore.  This means that there is no way to send the login info to that member giving them the ability to delete the account themselves. We should be able to delete these accounts.

When you suspend a member for inactivity they feel like they are being punished

A sure way for chasing them away forever and never to return and sign up again in the future. Also the issue of double accounts or email addresses that cannot be accessed as mentioned before are solved by the option to delete members

IP addresses would be great as well. Yesterday I had a member return who himself deleted is account. We don't like his behaviour toward the women in our network so this time access was denied. Now it's very easy for him to sign up with another email address and a fake picture. I have no way of recognising him by his IP address

I agree with celina that a feature for DELETING members would be very interesting.

Don't hold your breath I've been fighting this battle before without success

I agree

If you suspend/ban a member he becomes angry.

If you remove a member, he thinks that there's an error on his password.

Hello Just M,

When you are suspending your member just be sure to check the option to delete their contents as well and that will do it. What we need from NING is the option for Network Creators to find out the last time they log in to our networks and that way we have an idea who we need to suspend/delete for inactivity. Thank you!

I DO NOT want to suspend any members

I want to DELETE not SUSPEND inactive members or members who have somehow managed to get 2 accounts

These are GOOD people who do not deserve supension

We need the ability to just remove people without suspending them

Totally agree with having the common sense option of deleting a person so they still have the option to rejoin one day if they would like to. Suspension does not allow them to come back.
