Design idea on sharing content on facebook, twitter, digg etc.
This is what Ning looks like today:
This is what I personally would like to see at the TOP of each forum thread, blog post, photo, video or calendar post.
It's a screenshot from a blog. I'm not sure about the twice facebook buttons. I'll let clever heads figure out if that's the best way to go or not.
Instead of the logos followed by a text link, wouldn't it be better to simply use the already developed buttons by the various services that people recognize and perhaps then are more likely to use?

This is a good idea, I have seen that jensocial.com has changed this. Does anyone know if this is possible to change in the language editor?

No. Jensocial has some "grandfathered" scripts that most of us don't have, including the ability to change stuff in the language editor.

I think that's a great idea:) Also they should add BUZZ and ADD THIS (which allows them to add it to ANYTHING!) The double FB ones are Share to FB and LIKE. Most people know the difference.

Agreed - would love the Facebook Like, Retweet and Digg buttons at the top, too. Also, StumbleUpon, if possible. Any way you could do this Ning? Maybe have a set we could choose from?

Personally I like the SHARE button as it allows access to all. Perfect as is for me. There are some other options and cooler graphics out there.

nope - it was already set to follow. But I just edited my post from saying that I had not received a single notification email (which was a mistake) to the fact that I had received notifications on the last two responses which was how I discovered that someone had replied to my thread.
