I would like to display on a website the number of members in my Ning network. Now I do that updating the information manually, will it be possible to update that information automatically?

Thanks

ning has badges that are embedable these badges include the member count

Thank you for your answer. I knew that, but what I am looking for is a way to display only the number, without the rest of the badge or anything else, like the Facebook plugin:

Something like: Members + number

Thanks anyway!

there was a tip i think it was tj put together to display that kinda info in the foter on the main page  but to display it on another site im not sure

if your able to find rhat tip ..it might be able to be modified o work

My widget for the footer that soaringeagle mentioned, is here:

but if you just want Members count, I recommend the same post as Manuel:

Thank you for all your answers!

I tried that and it worked fine on my Ning network but not on the external site.

Where should I place there the script there: on the head, on the body? I have tried both options but it didn't work

the jquery load command won't work on external sites.
SP

SP is correct, the jQuery load function is subject to the same site origin policy -

Additional Notes:

  • Due to browser security restrictions, most "Ajax" requests are subject to the same origin policy; the request can not successfully retrieve data from a different domain, subdomain, or protocol.

source: http://api.jquery.com/load/

That means you can only load something from some-site.com on another page at some-site.com.

However, I have a method to get around this restriction.  If you have budget to solve this problem, message me and I'll take care of it for you. :-)

Best wishes!
