So recently I decided to create a new level of moderators, that will monitor uploaded content. I wanted them to flag this content so that I can see it and ensure that it's removed if it breaks the TOS or our own community guidelines on the network..
So today I get a letter from one of the new members whom I allowed to flag content, telling me the one pic she flagged that I will see nothing wrong with was done so because she knew the artist that drew it and they would never allow their picture to be uploaded by anyone else. Another she flagged because it was a picture that was edited without permission.. (My community is heavily art based)
So I go to My Network, and I look for something like "flagged content"... Nothing... So I click around and still, I cannot find anything for the flagged content..
So my question is this.. How is this feature supposed to be used? If I can't tell what my moderators are flagging, how can I be sure that they are doing a good job and that members are following rules or need further moderation. I asked her on an IM and she tells me she's been flagging pictures for over a month. I'm glad to know they are hidden I guess, however I have no idea what they are, if she or another member is abusing their privileges (yes, I am paranoid due to bad moderators in the past) and if I need to take action myself.. etc..
So as the subject says, are any Network Creators using this feature? How is it helpful? Ning, any plans to improve this? I sure hope so :( For a bit I was just starting to think I hired some lazy moderators that I would have to let go, now I realize I just have to have them send me daily reports.

update: 2/5/2013
It's been a while, with still nothing here.. I really need a section in the Dashboard that says "Flagged Content" So I can view this content.. Please... This can't be that hard to do! The feature is there, all I need is to view the content!

It's a shame, because it's a great idea!
Permalink Reply by Alok Appadurai on September 28, 2011 at 4:33pm I've had the exact same problem finding anything flagged on my ChangeActivists.Org network. Would def like to hear a solution to flagging content!
The problem tho is that if the flagged content isn't reported as such, I as a Network Creator will never know about it, unless I stumble upon the content.. and on a site with almost $13,000 users and 92,000 photos, that may be improbable..
yeah, without some sort of notification system (ie: There are 10 Flagged Images on your Network), it makes the, what would be an awesome feature, useless :(

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on September 29, 2011 at 8:21am But there's no notification system about content that has been flagged. If you have a huge site, it would take forever to locate the flagged content unless the moderator sent you links to everything they flagged so you could look at it. It's cumbersome. I won't fool with it for that reason.
It looks like I may have to ignore it too.. I was hoping to train members to be future administrators, and a good training period would be flagging the content, but if I can't even get a page that shows me all the flagged items, then the feature is pointless :(
Permalink Reply by drongo on October 24, 2011 at 6:08am Can I confirm that there's still nowhere to see what has been flagged?
If that's the case then as you all correctly say, the feature is useless, where it could/should be fantastically useful.
I can't offer flagging rights to members if I can't review what they are flagging.
Permalink Reply by Caribso on October 24, 2011 at 6:36am It is similar to the "Alert" tab located under the signin/signout tab.. Useless!
Yup... and it still is not functional as far as I can tell. As a NC, I have no way to see what a moderator flagged. Is that possible?
I agree completely with the need for a dashboard alert that says "10 flagged comments" (or whatever) and emails me or another admin as they are flagged.
It isn't possible from what I can tell, I really need to be able to see what my moderators and administrators may have flagged.. I need to know. Not knowing and not being able to use this feature probably is terrible.. it's almost 2 yrs and still no reply from NING to this :(

Completely agree. Flagging is useless if we can't see what's been flagged without having to click for half a century to find the flagged content.
