New Developer Alert: February 2013 Breaking Changes
If a New Developer Alert arrived in your inbox, you'll want to update your Sign-up and Sign-in App on Facebook. Don't worry--It's easy!
You got the note because Facebook is doing away with Authenticated Referrals and removing the ability to post to a friends wall via the Graph API. You can see all of Facebook's "breaking changes" here.
Facebook says that these changes will be "permanently enabled for all apps in 1 day on Tuesday, February 5, 2013," which leads me to believe that you could get away without taking any action, but there's no need to take a chance. It is easy to update your app:
The "enabled" app performed well on February 3rd. If you run into any issues with the update on February 6th, let us know.
Steps 1 & 2
Step 3
Steps 4-6

Permalink Reply by Allison Leahy on February 6, 2013 at 6:11pm Hey Laura, My suspicion is that Facebook automatically enabled these changes for you. The email that was delivered on Sunday stated that the changes would be "permanently enabled for all apps in 1 day on Tuesday, February 5, 2013." I don't think there's anything to worry about unless you can't sign in using that same Facebook app. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Permalink Reply by Allison Leahy on February 7, 2013 at 12:45pm Way ahead of the game! Not a bad idea to pre-approve these updates. I may go back and do this myself, but am also curious to receive Facebook's next Breaking Changes reminder.
Done. (Thanks!)
Permalink Reply by Luciano Costa on February 28, 2013 at 7:40pm I dont' see the February 2013 breaking changes option, only for March and April. Should I select those instead?
Permalink Reply by Allison Leahy on March 1, 2013 at 8:42am You can. It does seem, however, that Facebook automatically enabled those changes on for February. The message was intended to alert users of its updates and encourage them to opt-in, but it's not a requirement. They will likely do the same (auto-enable updates) moving forward.
Permalink Reply by Paintball.fi on April 28, 2013 at 11:37pm I got new developer alert from Facebook in email for "July 2013 Breaking Changes," can it be handled like this one or is there something different this time?
Permalink Reply by Stygo Alphamatt on April 29, 2013 at 12:37am Yes, you can handle it like that, just did mine right now
After that you will get a notification like this;
Permalink Reply by Kos 4 hours ago Allison thank you for posting this. That July update reminder was becoming annoying and I wasn't certain if we were supposed to add the URLs it was asking for. Done
