Facebook Like Button Doesnt Work

Sometimes the facebook like button doesnt work at all - when I click on the LIKE button it gets liked and 1 second later it gets unliked again automatically. The bug is not consistent, sometimes it works without any problems  - those that do not work, usually work if you try it again like 2 hours later - but though the button shows that you liked it that actual topic doesnt get transferred to the facebook wall anyway

I'm getting this with only certain pages.

On one profile, the Like button has been clicked once (so it worked at some stage) but when I click it, it registers then unlikes immediately (as described above).

However, on other profile pages the "Like" is registered no problem.

Anyone got any suggestions?

are you using Internet Explorer? if so, try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Chrome, to me is the better of the two. super fast, no frills, awesome extensions

I'm using Firefox. I was thinking about using Chrome after seeing some of the other posts on here. Does that mean I have to get all my users to use Chrome as well?

i always suggest Chrome anyway! it works very well with Ning networks, and across the net as a whole

I've noticed that the twitter one does not register either on my site but it still registers fine on twitter, Safari Firefox Chrome Brass Plastic, they all got their own problems :-)

Go to your dashboard and click on features and in the "share links" section only check the "Network Like" box in the "Select which Like Buttons you’d like to enable" and check all 3 boxes for "Select which Share Links you’d like to enable (at the bottom of this section click on "Customize share links by feature and uncheck blogs, discussions and profiles)". Glad it worked for you. My buttons are slow to load sometimes but it has to do with network and computer speed. It loads without problems and fast most times.

The FB Likes don't seem to be "sticking".  I did some test likes and it looked like it worked, but when I went back to double check, the counter was back to zero.  Any ideas?
