FB Fanpage Thumbnails Not Working

For about a week now when we copy a link of photo on our site into our fanpage it's not displaying the thumbnail, effectively lowering its effect. Is anyone else experiencing this issue with photos?

Also we are connected as our Facebook Page but if we click "Like" or "Share" it wants to post to my personal wall. It would be nice if connected as a Facebook Page to click "Like" and have it post right our our fanpage wall.

What good is filling out a ticket when you get a genetic reply back about adding an image to the network or telling me where I can change my connections?

yea, don't worry, it takes a while..but it'll work, i was having the same problem, i just left it for a day or two and it worked fine afterwards

Me too...it's been a week...sent ticket as well, I'll post the info I rec'd.  Basically rec'd a "it's a facebook thing".

Yes, I'm in the same boat...use my FB page to pull people to my network, lack of photos definately hampering it's effectiveness...I had sent another request today.

Thumbnails posted to Facebook are typically pulled from the page itself. If there aren't any valid pictures, or Facebook can't access the pictures for some reason (if the network or content is private) then they won't be available to be pulled in. If you're seeing the photos on the Facebook end and they aren't being pulled onto the wall when you post the content, that's something that would likely be on the Facebook end of things.

Content is not private.  I’m seeing the picture pulled into the thumbnail preview, but when it posts it never appears with the post.  Yes, probably a Facebook thing but wanted to make sure you knew b/c I’m trying to drive involvement at the network and things are as content rich w/o the pictures.

ive had this happen a couple times, kris, but usually i will have 3 images to choose from once i make the paste....only one fits the link though, the other 2 are always my twitter and facebook buttons (which im about to remove from the tower section that shows on every page). The third image is always the profile picture of whoever posted what im linking. Please keep us posted here on anything you find out!

Yes, usually I have the images to choose from...and I see them, I even select the exact one I want and then when I post, the image never shows up in the post.  Before this problem, every once in a while I would hav a post whose image did not appear right away, but then after an undetermined amount of time, it appears.  This isn't the case, since I have posts that are a week old now w/o images.

 

I hope they figure it out...

I have also integrated Facebook w/ my network, it had been working fine.  I also notice if I go to a blog post w/in my network (vs. copy/paste into Facebook), the box that pulls up shows the image as well, I select, post, but the image never appears.  This is happening with both of networks which are linked to separate FB fanpages.

Anyone else out there with this problem??

I do get a thumbnail if I click the facebook link on the forums but then you also get all the content of that post on your wall

ok this just happened to me......i posted a link on my network's fb fanpage, and it even let me choose the image i wanted to use for the post......hit submit, no image! I gotta feeling, though, this is on facebook's end and not Ning, as this worked fine until facebook made the change that when you hit "enter" on a response to a parent post, it posted your response, and didn't move to the next line like it used to......anyone know what im saying?
