To add fireworks to your website for the New Year, simply follow these steps:
<script src="http://yourserverpath.com/fireworks.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Ning Networks:
FASTER AND BETTER: Instead of adding the edited script to the Custom Code Box, add to a text box on your home page. This way it only loads on the home page, and much faster.
If you must have fireworks on all pages, this is still better. For all pages: Add to a text box in right column, that displays on all pages.
Happy New Year Everyone!

My pleasure. I've seen better ones. But, this one is pretty painless. ;-)
Happy New Year, Garfield!

Good point. Of course I'm finding that it slows down a Ning site more than other sites. I really get sick of saying that, and even having to think it.
Here's a sample of the code running:

Happy New Year Janettee!

ahhh, much faster on a Ning site if you do the following:
Just add to home page, by adding the script to a text box on the home page. Be sure to wrap in a DIV, and click on HTML button.
Example:
<div><script src="yourpath/fireworks.js" type="text/javascript">
</script></div>
Best,
Jen

Permalink Reply by Writer Chick {Diane} on December 31, 2010 at 7:27am I am having issues with the text editor this morning, and instead of my question appearing on the main page, I see THIS! Yes, this fireworks thing is nice, (and Jen, I do not mean this in any way to be disrespectful to you. I appreciate all you do on the forum), but I'm beginning to wonder if Ning has changed the forum layout so that only the questions/comments they WANT to show, actually appear! (They are featuring certain ones and those appear on the main page as "new".)
I've added three discussions this week, and one I desperately need an answer to, but all are being ignored because they're not appearing on the main page!
None of us has time to actually scroll through pages and pages of new discussions in the forum area!!! Having ALL new discussions appear on the main page is much more convenient, and we're likely to receive help from our fellow NCs a LOT quicker that way!!

Diane,
I had to remove my original comment, due to emails. ;-) I will try to say this in a better way.
I have to agree with you. I would rather see discussions on the home page that are the most recent, too.
Happy New Year,
Jen
