I imported a pic for my homepage background and was wondering what code I can use to make it fixed in place, so the body will move as you scroll, but not the pic.
There was an old theme, forget what it was called, something like disco or club or something that had that in it's basic HTML code. I tried to use it here but won't work like it did. So? Anyone know exact code to use and where to put it? Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate it!

Permalink Reply by Emma Holton on February 11, 2012 at 2:08am I know you never, ever, ever, ever EVER post jQuery code in the CSS box but I'm trying to add this feature to my network and I can't seem to get it to work. I copied, changed the background image, pasted in the CUSTOM CODE box in Manage and nothing came up. Am I doing something wrong here?

This is CSS coding...you have to paste it into ADVANCED CSS AREA.

Permalink Reply by Jesse Hutson on February 12, 2012 at 8:05am Hi Folks! I used the code from Bernard, and it worked, (Thanks Bernard) The only thing I noticed was that it disabled the ability for members to customize their pages. Perhaps I inserted it into the wrong place? Sorry to bother you guys but if you have a moment, would you explain where to insert it so member's pages aren't disturbed? Thanks so much...:)

Hi Jesse..If you paste this code into Advance CSS Area, it doesn't disturb anything...
Best Regards
Bernard
Permalink Reply by Robert Williams on August 23, 2012 at 8:50am Thanks for the code Bernard. Adding this to my css does create the fixed background. However, there are two things that I can't seem to correct.
1. The sign up page does not inherit the background as usual. Instead, it is half body color and have background as shown. Any ideas?
2. Prior to adding this code, all areas around the background picture inherited the background color option. So, when you scrolled down, there would be a designated color below the background picture. If you expanded the length of the browser, the designated color was shown. With this code, that color is white. Depending on screen sizes, some of my viewers will see white around the picture. Not ideal. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help!!!
