Hi, all. Does anybody know if there's a way to take new members directly to specific page on our NING site right after they sign up? Below is our SIGN UP page. I want to find a way to take people to a specific page (http://grasponline.ning.com/page/member-subscription-form) once they click on the orange SIGN UP button. Any ideas?
Sorry. What is "+1"?
+1 is a forum expression for good idea, the more +1's the better the opinion, idea or comment someone made.
Hence the reason Google created Google +1 widget for websites :0
I think it's possible but it's a custom job.
Quick shortcut edit your email template that customers get upon signing up e.g. Step 1 invite friends Step 2. Click this link
Just an idea
Actually this is a good idea. So we can custom the user experience and help point them in the right direction.
I have edited the welcome email and there's now 10 things for the new member to do rather than the stand 4. i.e. add their location on the members map, find friends already online, befriend the creator, etc.
A custom landing page would be much easier to edit and custom to the networks theme than editing the language editor for the welcome email. Especially for new creators. But perhaps it will be hard to make the landing page disappear after the new member has logged in a couple of times?
Saying that, does anyone know how to get rid of the welcome box on the homepage after a new member joins and is approved? The one that says "Welcome member" Add Content, Find Friends, etc, in the big bold box? I give all my new members better instructions than this and I now realise that some members don't even know that they can get rid of this box altogether. So when they log in each time, the box appears each time, until they figure out how to switch it off.
Please include screenshot so we know where you exactly mean.
Lucky I was about to go to bed:
