I tried that and it did not work. On another machine, the site loads fine in both browsers. I am After clearing the cache, history,k cookies, etc... the site looks fine. It just seems odd and I hope it's not happening to users.
Thanks,

Permalink Reply by Janice D Carter on November 12, 2012 at 6:14pm Hey I got this response. It seems to have worked for the groups but not for the videos
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue you've encountered on your network and thanks for those screenshots! I tested this out in Firefox and Safari and was unable to reproduce what you're describing for the main page Groups module in those browsers, but upon viewing in Chrome, I see that the module has groups displaying broken up on different lines. This looks to be due to something in how Chrome is rendering the content. Typically, the cause of content getting pushed down to different lines is too much padding or border or margins in the customizations of the network's appearance. That doesn't look to be creating the issue in this case.
I went ahead and analyzed your network with Firebug (http://getfirebug.com), which is a tool we use here in the office to analyze and test out CSS on a page. It looks like adding this line of CSS to your network's Advanced panel in the Design Studio will help force those groups to appear side by side in Chrome, and at a glance does not appear to have negative effects in Firefox. You're welcome to try adding this string to the Advanced panel and see if that improves what you're encountering:
div.xg_module.module_groups ul.clist {margin:0}
If that does the trick, great! If not, feel free to test out different settings with Firebug. Please note that we are not CSS experts here, so there is always a chance a CSS string could over-apply and affect other areas on your network. If that happens, you can always go back into the Design Studio's Advanced panel and remove the string.
I hope this helps!
***no adverse effects yet***
Permalink Reply by Janice D Carter on November 13, 2012 at 3:31pm I seems to be happening everywhere and the members are having the issues now also. The above code seemed to have worked last night just for the groups but it did not fix the issue
Permalink Reply by Janice D Carter on November 14, 2012 at 3:52am well I added this also and it seems to have the videos area straightened out
div.xg_module.module_video ul.clist {margin:0}
I am not seeing any adverse effects as of yet from adding these. My hope is that ning will simply fix the issues but in the meantime at least the site "appears" to not have any issues

Permalink Reply by Craig Henry 6 minutes agoThat happened to me too JJ. I logged out and logged back in and it was fixed................so far.
Permalink Reply by Eric Suesz on November 15, 2012 at 3:23pm Hey, Janice. We're not trying to convince people that there's not an issue or not admit to something. Many people report many things that are often quite different even though they may seem related. Part of the challenge we have is sorting out the reports, reproducing them, and making sure those that are related stay group together until they are fixed, at which point we can notify everyone who reported it to us that it is fixed.
These screenshots definitely seems like something isn't displaying as it should. Have you contacted our support team? Do you have a ticket number? I think someone here needs to take a closer look at this for you.

THANK YOU!
the ticket number is 00864138. I did add the codes above and it helps the stability but it does not cure it as you can see by the members comments from today. Again, thank you

Don't know if the maintenance session, scheduled for tomorrow, is the cause, but for the last several days certain pages have had no background and the tool bar has been absent from comment boxes. I'll have to wait and see.
