Full Blog POst on Main Page

How Can my main Page have shown the full blog post instead of the simple text info that show up there..... I want to set it up just like the ning blog (http://blog.ning.com/)...

Yes ...i have also been asking Ning for this since last year... i don't want the continue link on my post...i want the full post to show.. or at least be able to control what shows... it will be really cool if they help us out with this option.. really need it for my website....

Hi, Willy. It's not currently possible to show a full blog post on the Main Page. The Ning Blog runs on Wordpress, actually, so it's not part of the Creators Ning Network. Your request is kind of a new one that I haven't heard before. Are you just trying to make your Ning Network be like a blog or one stream of content?

Yes indeed… I have a blog where I can show images and news stories with full content and another on the ning main page where i can only put blog RSS activity….

I want to be able to show the full bog post on the main ning page so that i can only use the ning website for my site… enabling full blog post on the main page I dont have to use a separate typepad or wordpress blog for a site…

It's not currently possible to do it quite this way, but we do have a new theming system coming out soon that will offer new templates. I'm not sure if there is a "one stream of content" choice yet because I haven't seen all of the options they've built just yet, but I can definitely see where that would be useful. For example, to create a Tumblr-style stream that is very simplified.

Exactlyyyy my point…… That way I won’t have 2 sites but one…
Right now i have the ning site for interactivity and a blog for news and pictures…
Full blog post RSS on the main page would definately solve this issue!!!!

Full post display on the home page is really important for some of us network creators...  My network is a Newspaper network...  so having a full post display will make things easy for my members and bring in more visitors...   I also think a network like Thisis50 would what the same thing.... I suggest that there should be an option to break break a post in to read more just like on blogger....

Hey, Willy. This isn't currently available, but we will be releasing a new theming system which may get you closer to what you're seeking -- an ultra-simplified feed.

+1 to all the ideas above. The blog feature is essential to babkubwa.coms homepage. I used to spread the network between a wordpress blog and ning network - now that I have thrown my hat in with ning entirely, enhancements to blog features would be more appreciated than ever.

Very impressed with the idea of the wordpress publisher plugin last month - more along those lines would be top. Very interested to see what this new theming system will bring!
