Gift Feature issue in the mail.

We have opted out of gifts feature. Still when our members send an invite and when some one joins accepting their invitation, they get to see this message .

I have withheld the real names for privacy concerns.

the text of the message is :

"ABC accepted your invitation to join XYZ network.

Want to add a welcome message for ABC on their profile? Go to:
http://www.XYZ.com/profile/ABC?xg_source=msg_invite_joined

Or, welcome them to XYZ network by sending them a gift:
http://www.XYZ.com/gifts/item/list?to=0hl3i4wv7zv0o&category=Bo..."

When we haven't opted or the GIFTS feature, it doesn't make sense to mention gifts in the mail sent out to those who have invited them.

On a related note, where does the /gifts link in the email take them, given that the feature is not enabled?

A few members asked if we have something like - "Gifts" as their friends were receiving this message.
I didn't ask them where that link was taking them. i told them to look into it.

Also, did you notice "Join this Ning Network" below "You need to be a member of "your network name"

Irrespective of you have paid or not they have this link which takes to your sign up form.
technically this might not qualify for a promotional link (as i have paid to remove NING Promotional link) but it is promotion... tomorrow without telling us they might plaster (powered by NING (just the text) all over...

I just don't understand WHY?

I could find the text box that includes the first part of the phrase, "Or, welcome... but not the part where the actual URL is included so that could be deleted. Can you help on that? Thanks!

As Charles said :Use language editor to delete it (the whole phrase )

This really does sound like something that should be automatically programmed to be connected to the "Remove Gift Feature" option. Removing the gift feature on a site should automatically edit the above referenced message to remove the part about sending your invitee a gift. Did this issue get placed on the "to do" list?

Hi Laura, thanks for your reply. I used the language editor to resolve both the issues. Worked Fine so far :-)
