I have been exploring the API for Google Hangout. Google has opened the API to begin a hangout from your own website. I have already obtained by Goggle Hangout API key.  I have started working on this idea for implementation on my network, but I thought to check in on Creators to see if anyone else has attempted this. If I can see the possibility, the creators I see on here are much more advanced than myself. Has anyone else looked into this?

Have not.  But I'd like to.

awesome idea

Interested to hear how this works out for you...

I've been trying to work this out, myself, and I'm at a loss. I'm not giving up, so as I work on it, I'll come back to this thread and tell you what I learn, and show you, if I get it working out.

Sorry Guys, I completely drop the ball on this discussion. I got distracted working on some other projects, but I now have a intern that will lighten my load. I will post as soon as I finish it.

Hey, anyone get his going yet?

I doubt it. It barely works properly when launched straight from gmail. Maybe if they stop changing it every five minutes and actually iron out the kinks instead....

I think the above is an exaggeration. Hangouts has been working fairly flawlessly for me and my gang, and any changes made by Google have been welcomed improvements, but still no real way to embed as part of a community that I know of.

I was being a little facetious; however, we have one user who gets disconnected every time a third user is invited, and then again when the third user enters the hangout. Never were able to explain it or get it resolved. Other than that it works great.
