My members on http://www.thefriendshipsite.co.uk are complaining, we can go to the main page of mind Jolt . When you click on a game we get this message.
The MindJolt games require Adobe Flash vesion 9.
You can quickly install this plugin for free by
clicking here.
When you have finished, you can click here to start playing.
I clicked on everything down loaded updates but still no joy.
Is anyone else having this problem ?

Yes I am having the same problem. The link allows you to download Flash version 10. I have removed the app from my site as not many of my members used it, I doubt that I will reinstate it even if it is fixed. I have gone directly to the Mindjolt website where I have been able to play the games without any problems so the issue would appear to be with the Ning app.

I would suggest contacting Mindjolt - niapplication@mindjolt.com and open a support ticket with Ning. Good luck, I hope you get it sorted soon
Permalink Reply by RM on July 26, 2011 at 9:39am I'm having problems with MindJolt as well! Here's what my community members are saying about this issue:
It isn't just you. I knew it was a problem when the home page wasn't streaming scores. It asks for Flash 9, but I have the latest flash (10 something) and always have palyed with that, so there is a problem at the midjolt site.
Attempted to email niapplication@mindjolt.com and actually got a bounced email. Is this really the only contact they have? I find it difficult that when third party apps don't work on NING, we have to chase after them individually, rather than having some kind of support from NING.
Permalink Reply by Annie on July 26, 2011 at 4:04pm We have the same issues and a bounce back email as well,
our member use the games daily from mindjolt. Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry :( that was the email address that came up when I clicked on the link on the Ning Apps page. I would suggest opening a Ning support ticket to see if they can help or at least provide a valid contact address for Mindjolt, best of luck
Permalink Reply by RM on July 27, 2011 at 8:01am Hi everyone,
An update!
We heard from NING that the right contact at MindJolt is help@mindjolt.com. Here's what they had to say about the situation:
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. We received another report of this issue yesterday, and I tested this out on my network and had the same experience you're describing. The MindJolt Games app is one of the Ning Apps, which means we have verified that it should integrate nicely with your network. It is, however, a third-party application, and there is, unfortunately, not a way for us to change settings within it if things aren't working as they should be. I believe if you were to download Flash player version 9, then the app would let you play the games on it without issue. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to download that version of Flash at this time.
We followed up with MindJolt, and here's their response:
Sorry for the trouble; we are looking into the problem and trying to determine if it is an issue with MindJolt or Ning. I fit is our problem, we will soon (in the next day or two) make a decision on how to move forward.
So, thankfully they're aware of the situation and working on it. I find it a bit annoying that both are hesitant to identify where exactly the problem lies. I also find it frustrating that NING is very hands off in terms of issues with third party apps — should there not be more communication between themselves and their apps? — because if there isn't any sort of standard, it worries me as a paid NING customer.
So looks like we've got a few more days of this. :\
