I'm pretty frustrated right now. Help Center doesn't respond and the problem is causing to lose new members. When you go to 'sign up' you should see the captcha and type in the words (since I activated that feature). However, new members don't see it and thus don't put in any words. Now, once they hit sign up they get an error message saying 'the words did not match. Try again'. So, now what? How can that happen and how can it be fixed? This didn't happen only once. It's a problem on different computers....Oh, one last thing, when I invite people via Ning, then the captcha is there in the sign up box. Help please. My network is womenempowerment.ning.com

Maybe you could remove the captcha option until this is corrected? I use the question mark, because since all of that was changed and enhanced, I haven't tried to remove the captcha.
Best,
Jen
Jen, thought about that. But, how would Ning figure out what might be wrong if I change something now? Also, you have to have the captcha or the quiz. Unfortunately, you can't remove it completely yet. I think they're working on it... Thanks, Petra
If it helps, I just went to your signup page in FireFox and IE. I see the captcha box just fine.
Best,
Jen
Jen, that's good! :-) Thank you. However, it shouldn't be that some new members who use a certain browser can't sign up having the 'captcha problem'. If I would be in their shoes, I'd try once, maybe twice and then I'd give up, right?!
Jen is right, in the meanwhile you may try Quiz instead of Captcha... Ning support can let you know when they fix it, and then you can turn it back...
Hello, Petra! I can see the captcha on your sign-up page. We will respond from the Help Center, although we have a backlog right now. Do you have any more information about which browsers might be affected?
Eric, I can try to find out what browers might be affected. Are you still able to fix the bug when I switch to quiz for now? Also, I tried the sign up two weeks ago on my other computer and the captcha worked fine. Now, I tried it yesterday after I had the complaints and I don't see them anymore. Didn't change the browser on that computer...

Another thing, I just set up the domain mapping this week and was wondering if it might has anything to do with that? Thanks for your help! Look forward to hearing back.
Jaap, you made me flush...:-) Thanks for the compliment.
IE 7 works fine. I can see the captcha.
IE 6 works fine too...
I would set up a quiz while we follow your ticket to try and reproduce your error. I don't think domain mapping should affect it, but I sure would want to know if it was. Are you able to provide your ticket number to me? I'd like to make some notes on it.
Eric, thanks. I'll set up a quiz for now. I'll send you a message with the ticket number.
