Not sure if anyone can help here, I have www.irishweddingnetworks.com as a Ning site. When I load the site, it just times out after 2 seconds before I get a chance to log in. Waiting a few days for response from support but just curious if anyone else is suffering this problem since changing to different method of billing.

After it times out, I get this URL:

http:///integration/ning/esmmiddleware.php?esm=4c212dc93b5b4

Many thanks,

Mike.

Try looking at your site in different browsers like firefox, IE8 and safari and see if it does the same thing in all of them. If not then it might be a browser issue and not your site. You can go to http://download.com to get these browsers if you don't have them.

won't work with ie8 it says page not found, but it works fine with Google Chrome and Firefox
Mike,

I suspect the custom code

script type="text/javascript" src="http://esm.enterprisewebsolutions.com/integration/ning/esmfrontend.php?esm=4c212dc93b5b4"

is having problems.

Sláinte,

Patrick
Go raibh maith agat Patrick. Not sure why that is there, I did not mess with any custom coding. It is only recent that it happened. The only thing that I have set up the past year is google anaylitics and that seems fine.
Unfortunately I cannot get to my site to change anything, it displays in ie8 for less than 2 seconds now which was never a problem before. Maybe I'll try firefox later. Is there something I should remove? I am not too sure about code and alll of that! I only noticed the issue since I changed to one of the new plans.

Slán,

Mike.
Mike,

Here is the problem.

http://enterprisewebsolutions.com/subscription-manager.html is a solution that provided for Ning networks. However when we did the change on July 20, it broke their integration. So they need to fix it from their side.

In the short term:
1) You should remove this text from the custom code section.
2) You should contact enterprisewebsolutions to inform them.
3) I will have a Ning representative contact them.

If you are not able to remove this text, I can remove it for you.

Hope this helps.

I'm flying home to Dublin for a few weeks holidays. Looking forward to a few scoops with friends and family. And golf :)

Good luck,

Patrick
Hi Mike,

In the network analytics / custom code area, you have a javascript link to esm.enterprisewebsolutions.com. You might want to try removing that temporarily to see if it's causing the issue.

Thanks,
Phil
Thanks a mill Phil for your response.

Cheers,

Mike.
Ie8 has a feature called compatability mode. It looks like a broken piece of paper and is normaly near the area where you type the url go to your site and click the compatability mode icon in your browser and see if it works.
Hi Gabet, many thanks, it is still not working after trying. It does not seem to be working for People using ie8 here and other versions here ... all of a sudden, very strange!

Thanks anyway,

Mike.
Mike,

See my reply above.

Patrick
Hi Mike,

Sorry for just seeing this post and the delay in responding. You can always reach us via our website and we normally respond within 4-24hrs.

The great news here is that the July 20 change didn't affect our integration. We were concerned that it would, but our other networks have been humming along without an issue.

In your particular case, during your account set up some how your ESM subdomain pointing to our server was missing so our script didn't know what to do with the information it was receiving.

I have fixed this issue for you, so you shouldn't experience this problem again.

Please let me know of any other issues you may be having.

Also, we released version 2.0 this month, so you can now set your account to "offline" mode from your ESM dashboard. This update resolves some Ning ajax communication issues that we have experienced in the past.

Regards,

John
