Hi there!
Is there a way to hide / deactivate the default "Profile Questions" Country and City,State?
I don't really need those and would like to get rid of them.
Also it would be cool if I could get the answers to my own Profile Questions below the profile picture on "My Page". If I feature a profile question it apperas there yeah, but it's not possible to feauture more than one Profile Question. Or is it?
Cheears & thanks!
Pascal

As for the second question, I'm not sure I follow. I've set multiple questions that all show up on my member's profile pages when they answer them.
One thing I'd like to see changed however, is that by default the profile questions should show up above the latest activity, rather than below it where it gets buried. As of right now, the only way to that is manually by hovering over the box title bar, and then clicking and dragging it where you want... Works fine for me, but not so much for my lass-savvy members.
Permalink Reply by Pascal Luther on July 12, 2011 at 12:07am That's true for the default profile questions like location etc., but not for the two fields "Country" and "City,State". Those two questions seem to be superior to the other default profile questions...
I assume you're talking about this "Profile Information" Module-Box on "My Page"? Yes, there I find all my answers to my profile questions too, but I want them to appear right below the profile picture, where you'll find the City,State & Country right know:

Unless you have a Ning basic plan, and this is a limitation I'm unaware of, it should give those options. Do you guys have a screenshot I could look at?

Permalink Reply by Ed on July 12, 2011 at 1:31am Just been trying to do the same. My network's local so I don't want the country showing up (not relevant) and they're all businesses so I don't want "Male" showing either.
It wouldn't be a problem if they weren't featured underneath the profile pic, which gives it distracting prominence.
So either a way to remove those "questions", or a way to stop them showing underneath the profile pic.
The only semi-solution I can offer so far is that I changed City/State in the Language Editor to "Area of City". Doesn't help with the country though.
Permalink Reply by Pascal Luther on July 12, 2011 at 1:56am Well I got a solutions to remove those "questions" below the user thumbnail.
Put this code in the Appearance->Advanced->"Add custom css" box:
Code to Hide the Member-Details below the user thumbnail:
ul.member_detail {display:none !important;}
But still, how can I change those profile questions shown in that member_detail-Module?
And also, how to disable those two questions at all?
Ah and Ed: "Gender" is a default profile question you can delete, unlike Country & City,State.
Cheers,
Pascal

Permalink Reply by TJ @ jQueryHelp on July 16, 2011 at 2:47am I also had that line of CSS in my Advanced box to remove the gender from profile pages -
And I just found out it also removes the ACCEPT button that should show under their avatar on the list of requested friends page, that you need to go to in order to accept, when someone has requested to Friend you.
There might be a way in CSS to make this style more specific. If there isn't and anyone still wants to hide the gender label under profile pics, let me know and I can try to do it in jQuery.
Best wishes!

P.S. This is a screen cap showing that member_detail controls the buttons on the friends request list, shown in FF using Firebug:

Thanks for your comment, you're right, it really does hide the "Accept" and "Ignore" buttons..
I'm not a CSS-Pro but this one seems to work for me, I hope it won't hide something else now :D
dt.fn ul.member_detail {display:none !important;}
Cheers!

CSS to hide the default profile questions Country & City,State:
#countryContainer,#locationContainer {display:none !important;}
Now still, is there a way to feature more than one of the other profile questions, so that they show up right below the users thumbnail/profile picture? (member_detail)
