How Can I Protect My Groups In Case The Group Creator Leaves Or Wants To Delete It?

One question I have is what happens to a group if the creator of that group chooses to eave the network or just wants to delete the group?

For example, I have a very popular group on one of my networks (with over 350 members) and I would like to "protect" this group in case the group creator wanted to delete it or chose to leave the network?

Any idea if this is currently possible and if not can it get added to the wish list please?

I suggest you choose the feature to "approve all groups".
When a user requests a group you delete the request and create the group yourself as the admin.
add them into the group as the first member and promote them to administrator.

I have not double checked but that should make them have access to everything except deleting the group.

I second this!

I believe the following should be put in place:

1. N/C can / must approve Group deletion
2. N/C can specify group OWNER - not just group administrator
3. If Group Creator leaves or is banned (this has happened to me!) the default owner is switched to N/C
